Robert Plant Plans An EP With Fresh Cuts

While most of releases prepared for Record Store Day are vinyl versions of albums previously issued on CD, replicas of what was issued on vinyl back in the day, or vinyl extracts of what has been part of box sets, Robert Plant, always in innovator who hates to seem and feel stagnant, decided to offer his followers something completely new, albeit done in the vein of 2025’s “Saving Grace” album which the veteran laid down with his new band and fellow vocalist Suzi Dian. It’s an EP that, as its predecessor in the Englishman’s discography, features cover songs.

& SAVING GRACE –
All That Glitters…

There are four tracks on the platter titled, to evoke a certain LED ZEPPELIN epic, “All That Glitters…” and including two traditional piece on one side, and Gillian Welch and Bert Jansch gems on the other. Whether these fresh cuts are to appear on Percy’s next longplay – if or when there is one, yet one hopes there will be – remains to be seen, of course, but gifting them solely to vinyl-lovers would leave many of his fans unsatisfied.
