This ensemble had quite a few glorious moment, the creative success of their 1971 album "A Space In Time" merely one of those, yet a lot of the things TEN YEARS AFTER did appeared in the shadows of a legend forged at Woodstock. Strangely, the foursome’s entire performance at the festival has never been released as a standalone disc to provide an uninterrupted experience of the band in their prime. Fortunately, soon such a glaring issue will be remedied.
Out on August 16th, “Woodstock 1969” is to demonstrate the interplay between Alvin Lee, Leo Lyons, Chick Churchill and Ric Lee in all its glory, as the recordings have been recently restored from the original 2″ multitrack tapes and remixed afresh. The results feel like a must-have item.
