Van Morrison Resumes The Run Of Original-Music Records

Given he’s never been a slouch when it came to penning arresting songs, some suspected Van Morrison‘s creative well ran dry in the past few years as his last records featured covers and archival material, yet the Irish veteran’s forthcoming album is brimful of pieces recently written by him. Titled “Remembering Now” and planned for release on June 13th, two months before the singer’s 80th birthday, this platter promises to be really good.

Its allure evident on the inaugural single “Down To Joy” – which was first aired in Kenneth Branagh’s film “Belfast” that was awarded Oscar and BAFTA – the album includes Van The Man’s collaborations with Seth Lakeman and legendary lyricist Don Black, so there’s something to look forward to.
