These days titling one’s album after its first single may lead to certain confusion online, yet Beth Hart doesn’t seem to care, as expectations are high for her next collection of original music since “War In My Mind” from five years ago. Not that she’s been on hiatus since its release, and 2022’s “A Tribute To Led Zeppelin” had some merit, but such a long gap between platters is the first in the lady’s creative biography, and the gap will be closed on October 25th when a full-length record “You Still Got Me” will be issued.
Preceded by its titular piece and “Wonderful World” whose video premiered today, this album features a couple prominent guests rubbing shoulders with her band – Eric Gales on “Suga N My Bowl” and Slash, reciprocating Beth’s part in his recent blues extravaganza, on the record’s opener “Savior With A Razor” – and promises to turn out quite interesting – just scan its tracklist.
