After the expansion of “4” that saw the light of day about a year ago, it was a toss as to where FOREIGNER would take their reissue program: forward and backward. It turns out the band have taken the latter course, and October 30th will be the date when 1979’s “Head Games” is to resurface as a box set comprised of three CDs and a Blu-ray, as well as, apparently, vinyl version.
As before, there’s no original mix present, only new stereo and ATMOS revamps, but this time a concert document which takes up one of the discs is a recording from a single show, rather than a selection from different ones. Still, while it’s great to have a dozen of outtakes, it should be noted that the album’s 2022 remastered edition had a bonus track titled “Zalia” – a notable omission from this deluxe offering. Presumably, next year will bring “Double Vision” set.
