There’s no denying the drive behind Glenn Hughes‘ desire to compensate for years spent in addiction limbo with frequently released albums, but with his high-profile activity and recent stints with THE DEAD DAISIES and BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the veteran’s last solo effort was “Resonate” from 2016. Yet soon, closing the longest gap in his discography since springing back to action in the early ’90s, Glenn is ready to present a set of fresh pieces, which will arrive soon after Hughes’ 74th birthday.

DEEP PURPLE Remix “Rapture Of The Deep” To Refresh It

There’s never been such a long gap in DEEP PURPLE album history – apart from the period of their non-existence, that is – than one between 2005’s “Rapture Of The Deep” and 2013’s “Now What?!” which restored their creative fortune, so the former offering felt like the end of an era for some time. Most fans liked it, some didn’t value the record too high, but it was fairly okay, even though everybody felt the platter could have been better. And now, two decades further down the line, it’s been made better, with Roger Glover overseeing the remixing of the songs of twenty-years vintage and changing the album’s running order to fashion a new context.

Roger Waters Releases Prague Concert In Audio And On Video

However difficult it may be to like Roger Waters as a person, it’s impossible not to be impressed by his concerts, especially when the Brit performs PINK FLOYD classics accompanied by such stellar players as Dave Kilminster. And that’s exactly what the legendary artist was captured doing on May 25th, 2023 in Czech capital: the show which will be issued in various formats – two-CD, four-LP, DVD, Blu-ray – and taken to a big screen for a limited theatrical screening, from July 23rd.

Belinda Carlisle Returns With Second Covers Collection

While lesser artists would rush to capitalize on induction of their band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Belinda Carlisle did what she always used to: chose her own creative path took her time to release new music. But if 2023’s EP “Kismet” featured five tracks tailored for the singer by Diane Warren, the longplay follow-up to “Wilder Shores” from 2017, where she shocked quite a few fans with Sikh chants in place of pop, contains no fresh cuts at all – in terms of composition, rather than performance. To be out on August 29th, “Once Upon A Time In California” is the American chanteuse’s second set of covers.

Dave Sinclair Uncovers Three Hours Of Post-CARAVAN Improvs

Busy all of his life – be it with CARAVAN, MATCHING MOLE, CAMEL or other projects – Dave Sinclair nevertheless always found time to create something on his own, and though the Canterbury master of ivories debuted as a solo artist only with “Moon Over Man” in 1993, there’s a lot of earlier recordings he made over the years. Quite a few of those hark back to 1973-1974, when Dave had temporarily left CARAVAN and befriended singing guitarist John Murphy and began jamming with this kindred spirit even after returning to the ensemble fold. Joined by a bevvy of fellow players, whose number included John G Perry on bass, they improvised for hours, and now a part of their sessions had been restored and released.
