Steve Hackett Brings Out His Acoustic Aspect On Onstage Album

Although every Steve Hackett‘s concert includes an acoustic performance, it’s been a long while since the veteran issued an unplugged live document – the last time he did was when "Hungarian Horizons" saw the light of day back in 2003. But there will be a new one out on January 17th – titled “Live Magic At Trading Boundaries” and recorded in Fletching, England, on January 2023, at the venue Steve would return to a year later.

It’s a fantastic set in many aspects, no least of those being the presence of not one but two flautists, John Hackett and Rob Townsend, alongside Roger King on keyboards – electric sort of – and Amanda Lehmann on vocals and second guitar. Hence the inclusion of two pieces from the lady’s "Innocence And Illusion" album in the same context as Steve’s classics and his takes on GENESIS evergreens and Erik Satie’s perennial. Still, unlike all of his live releases for the last decade, there are no official visuals to make their way to the listener who must hurry to get a limited edition CD or two-LP versions to not get stuck with a digital download.
