ROVO and SYSTEM 7 – Hinotori

Well-known for his prog endeavors, both solo and with the likes of GONG and Mike Oldfield, Steve Hillage, was the first rock guitarist to have fully embraced the lure of electronic/dance scene. Leading, together with his wife and another GONG alumnus Miquette Giraudy, the ambient project SYSTEM 7 from 1991, the veteran has explored many interesting dimensions.

To add another one, this band team up with Japanese proggers ROVO for a “Hinotori” EP, out on June 3rd and a “Phoenix Rising” album scheduled for September 23rd.  More so, the two collectives scheduled two live dates in March 2013, in Manchester and London.

As for the album, it includes:
1. Hinotori (reworking of ROVO’s live rock adaptation of SYSTEM 7’s piece)
