Collaboration is something Colin Edwin has always excelled in, be it on albums he laid down with EX-WISE HEADS and PORCUPINE TREE back in the day or on ETERNAL RETURN’s "Once Only" and "Mutual Isolation" by BURNT BELIEF and in more recent times. Among the multitudinous works the Australian bassist contributed to is 2017’s “Magnetic” that’s credited to Anglo-Italian electronica maven Gaudi whose latest project, GAUDI KOSMISCHES TRIO, finds Edwin as a full member, alongside guitarist Pippo De Palma.
The new ensemble’s debut “Torpedo Forward” – which will be released on October 3rd and prefaced by a free listening party on Sunday, September 29th at 12.00 pm, CT – is a result of the three artists’ worldwide tour in support of “Magnetic” and the fruit of the “Krautrock meets dub” formula they concocted, jammed on and implemented in both digital and analog environments. If the album’s first cut (listen below) is anything to go by, it’s interesting to say the least.
