"True" was one of this year’s highlights, Jon Anderson and THE BAND GEEKS effectively showing how classic prog tropes can still be exciting when old-guard artists are invigorated by younger proponents of music they’re known for. That’s why it’s quite surprising to see the set these performers chose for their first concert release: while their onstage repertoire almost entirely consists of the singer’s former ensemble’s staples, none of their joint effort’s tracks will land on “Live: Perpetual Change” which is scheduled to hit the shelves on March 14th.

DR. STRANGELY STRANGE Are Back With A Cure

For a long time one could safely presume DR. STRANGELY STRANGE were a thing of the past – and that would have been quite an erroneous assumption, because this Irish band haven’t really ceased to exist after their 2007 reunion, even though the “Alternative Medicine” album, which attempted to pick up where their original 1969-1970 duplet left off, didn’t seem to get a follow-up offering. However, the veteran’s discography is about to see another chapter on April 11th when the group’s fans, who were rather recently delighted to listen to the ensemble’s "Radio Sessions" comp, should embrace the issue of the combo’s fresh platter.

Deborah Holland Reflects On Life On Fresh Album

More than a decade has passed since the ever-impressive Deborah Holland delivered her last full-length venture, because what followed 2013’s “Vancouver” was the “Fine, Thank You!” EP – but even that was back in 2020, and a couple of tracks the chanteuse issued with the temporarily reformed ANIMAL LOGIC two years later could hardly slake her followers’ appetite for new music. Fortunately, they won’t have to wait much longer now that Ms. Holland announced the release of an album titled “I Made It This Far” on March 5th.

DIAMOND DOGS And Chris Spedding Record Little Richard Tribute

Wikipedia may suggest that this Swedish ensemble haven’t existed for almost a decade, yet DIAMOND DOGS are very much active now, because their hiatus didn’t last long, and are eager to up the ante after the band’s 2022 opus “Slap Bang Blue Rendezvous” proved to be as successful as their early ’00s platters. That’s why February 14th will see the veterans join forces with no other than the legendary Chris Spedding and record eleven classics by one and only Little Richard.

WAR Uncover Far-East Tapes Of Half-Century Vintage

Fifty years ago, WAR might have reached their creative peak, touring on the crest of “The World Is A Ghetto” wave and reaping the success of the record which made people forget that the American ensemble began their rise in the company of Eric Burdon. But while Western acclaim of the album – which recently saw its anniversary reissue – seemed obvious even at the time of the platter’s release, its acceptance in the East was totally unexpected, and the musicians must have been surprised by the reception they experienced in Japan. Still, given the strength of their performances, there’s nothing strange about the heated reaction of the crowds in Shizuoka, Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe – and now the best moments of those concerts are ready to see the light of day.
