What to Know Before You Start Playing Guitar

January 2, 2026

Somewhere between chords and notes, every person who wants to start playing guitar seems captivated by its sound and the way this instrument is played. Nina Hagen Harkens Back To Gospel

December 30, 2025

As little as Nina Hagen may be associated with spiritual music, her 2009 album “Personal Jesus” provided a deep insight into the German singer’s ability to deliver emotions of different caliber to feelings dredged by her punk roots and admired by her many international followers. And as it turns out, that platter wasn’t a one-off, because March 27th will see the release of “Highway To Heaven” whose title can suggest a couple of rock anthems, which are not on t there, and whose contents find the chanteuse inhabit perennials from the repertoires of Mahalia Jackson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and other gospel artists as well as country performers like Kitty Wells.

Gavin Sutherland Silently Releases “Friday Rain”

December 26, 2025

It’s one of the great injustices: ignoring an excellent artist who might have lost erstwhile popularity yet retained all the brilliance of the talent which made him a hitmaker in the first place. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to Gavin Sutherland of THE SUTHERLAND BROTHERS fame. The veteran doesn’t seem to really mind, however, and a month ago, without much ado, he followed last year’s "A Fragile World" with another album one can also access on the British musician’s Bandcamp.
