
It was the album on which YES emerged as the ensemble the masses know and love, a team of virtuosi, and attained genuine greatness. Once Rick Wakeman joined Chris Squire, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe and Bill Bruford, the sky was the limit for the band, and not for nothing 1972’s “Fragile” contained such pieces as “We Have Heaven” and “South Side Of The Sky” as well as, of course, “Heart Of The Sunrise” that would become their tour de force on stage. There have been quite a few reissues of the classic over the years, yet what will appear on June 28th is bound to be its definitive, if rather flawed, compilation.
